Consultation
If you are experiencing unexplainable activity in your home or business, but cannot commit to a full investigation at this time, we offer free consultation. We will review the information we receive about your case, and make recommendations that you can act upon at your leisure if you choose to do so.
Investigation
Investigations are the core service of Diablo Valley Paranormal. Our staff and investigators are trained in the techniques of modern paranormal investigation.
An investigation consists of 5 steps.
1.) Initial Contact- This is where the client contacts us, or we contact a potential client.
2.) Pre-Investigation- In this stage 2-3 investigators visit the location and its proprietor. The investigators conduct an interview with the client to gather more information about the nature of the activity. Diablo Valley Paranormal uses the information gathered to plan the investigation.
3.) The investigation- at a mutually convenient time, Diablo Valley Paranormal arrives at the location to conduct the investigation. Investigations typically last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours, depending on the case specifics. During this time, we set up audio and video equipment, and measure environmental variables such as temperature and electromagnetic fields. Some times investigators will have personal experiences. DVP investigators are trained to react to personal experiences in a manner that does not influence anyone else's personal experience. Investigators are also trained to look for natural explanations for various reported activity, to see if it can be recreated.
4.) Data Review- After the investigation, all data (audio, video, environment, personal experiences and findings) are reviewed. Investigators look for data that corroborates or explains activity witnessed at the location. Depending on the length of investigation and the equipment used, this can take up to one week or more.
5.) Post-Investigation- In this stage, Diablo Valley Paranormal investigators meet with the client once more to review the data collected, and offer a generalized conclusion.
